The controller chip soldered to RFM42B data module used with ebay Wii Nunchuck to fly RC planes. The chip has only basic features as opposed to dedicated nunchuck chip and most useful for those FPV-ing flying wings. There is no PPM mixing, no channel reversing and no ACC/Joystick swapping, no expo. This is remote I use myself for 1year, all model specific settings stored in receiver so there is no chance choosing wrong model and crashing. Channel order: ail, ele, thr, rud, tilt, pan and two 3-pos. channels. user can set any TX frequency from 240.000 to 930.000MHz, 1kHz tuning step. Store and quickly call 4 presets: after powering up push/pul/turn left or right joystick then while holding it click C btn to store working channel. If you adjust frequency later only this channel will change. To set transmitting frequency ckick C 6 times, listen for special tone then enter numbers pausing for 1s after each digit, say you want 446.112MHz click 6__4_4_6_1_1_2____ after 4s of inactivity new channel stored.. If you remember current channel enter just portion you want to change: say current ch. is 462.712(ch7 FRS), you want to trim just 2kHz up: 6__4____ that.s it, new frequency is 462.714 Button Z: single click == throttle cut-off, double click ==proportional , to hold min.throttle and keep hand freely hanging hold Z for 1s or longer, when released current ACC position wll limit min . thr., to return to full proportional double click.. 4 short clicks to switch master/normal mode, when enetering master mode special tone heard also short beep output when stick centered(only useful with special receiver or repeater) Button C: used to config the nunchuck and set channels 4 and up. Single short click sets pan/tilt to stored position, joystick set to normal double click to set last used p/t position, joystick set to normal 3x click to operate pan/tilt using stick, while in this mode channels normally assigned to stick hold last position. While tilted left: single click set ch7 zero (1ms pulse) double click to set ch7 50% (1.5ms) tripple click for 100% (2ms) While tilted right: single click set ch8 zero (1ms pulse) double click to set ch8 50% (1.5ms) tripple click for 100% (2ms) |
to change transmitting power click C button 2 or more times right after powerin on, max power (about 80mW) 8 clicks, lowest 1mW 2 clicks, to change power level have to reboot. power save feature can't be turned off: if joystick hasn't moved for 15s TX goes standby and LED is flashing., TX resumed immidiately after stick off center. special tone output only if new config stored, for example if you configure transmit channel the same was stored already no beep will be heard.
other kit (without RFM42B) works with all nunchucks, when used with programmable beacon you get most functionality the all-in-one chip works w/ most fake nunchucks, if buzzer keep sounding check SDA/SCL lines if swaped or try different nunchuck $50/kit include RF module with controller and buzzer, tested and calibrated before shipping
